New toys!
Every time our dog, Toby gets a new toy he just can't decide which one he wants to play with first. So yes, we always buy in multiples. Tonight we were at Costco and couldn't pass this up. It was a 3-pack of toys for only $5.99!
I wanted to capture his reaction on video since I think it is so hilarious. Enjoy this little video of our fur child..

Heidi the Hydrangea
Soooo, I may or may not have a track record of killing anything that grows in soil. This little gem caught my eye this weekend and knew I had to take her home.
Mr. Awesome and I have an over under bet. I said two weeks, and he said under. Such confidence! I'm going to prove him wrong and keep Heidi the Hydrangea alive!
Wish me luck!

Home Alive from Vegas!
Well friends, I made it home alive from Las Vegas. My friends bachelorette party was last weekend and we all lived to tell about it. Here is a pic of me and the bride...She let me do her makeup. :)
A highlight was meeting Mario Barth, a world renowed tattoo artist. One of the girls knows his girlfriend, a total sweetheart. We hung out at his tattoo shop/lounge/bar and had so much fun! They did an Absinthe shot for us and lit it on fire. Pretty amazing. Check out his site here.
We also met a HUGE limo filled with Elvis impersonators. It was amazing watching them as they filed out. We corralled them into taking a picture with us!
"I'm never one to pass up a photo opportunity."
"Just sayin."

Talent Show or Baseball Game?
This was posted by Mr. Awesome. Definitely check out this video. If this happened at baseball games more often, I would totally go more. It's the teams trying to one up eachother. Skits include the Shake-Weight commercial, a fake WWF wrestling match and a fake rollercoaster ride,

Wishful Wedesday
'I wish' .... I could go back and spend one day working at a job from my youth, and it would be from
_____________!
_____________!
Wells Fargo as a Teller
I looooved the people I worked with and my managers were great. I requested time off all the time and they happily obliged. All of the other employees were my age and went to Sac State. One of the girls joined my sorority and one of the guys joined Mr. Awesome's fraternity.
When my friend and I would get bored, we would hit ourselves with staplers (jokingly of course) from across the room. Good times at Wells Fargo!
Pinkberry in the 916!!!!
I don't think you understand my excitement. Thank you, Pinkberry for listening to my earlier post. I was ranting earlier here and they apparently heard me.
Next, I would like to win the lottery. Thanks!

Bad Habits Can Age you by 12 Years, Study Suggests
I saw this article on Yahoo! and I totally agree with maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and these are definitely great points:
"The risky behaviors were: smoking tobacco; downing more than three alcoholic drinks per day for men and more than two daily for women; getting less than two hours of physical activity per week; and eating fruits and vegetables fewer than three times daily."
However, later in the story, it has this quote:
"The U.S. government generally recommends at least 4 cups of fruits or vegetables daily for adults, depending on age and activity level; and about 2 1/2 hours of exercise weekly."
Wait, what? The U.S. government? Just saying.

Kristen Wiig is Hilarious
Speaking of hilarious SNL skits, this one might be my favorite. Of course there are some old school ones that are awesome, but as of late, I think this one takes the cake. I think you'll agree.
Saturday Night Live - The Lawrence Welk Show - Video - NBC.com
Medley of TGIF Theme Songs
Although Jimmy Fallon couldn't keep a straight face during ANY skit on SNL, this is very, very awesome. It might actually make up for it. You all totally know what I'm talking about. Remember when you were excited for Friday night TV? I do.

Maybe There is More to Life?
Models: Uh, Derek, what people?
Derek: I don't know. People who need help.
Models: Models help people. They make them feel good about themselves. They also show them how to dress cool...and wear their hair in interesting ways.
Derek: I guess so.
Models: You know what could really help you sort through these important issues?
Derek: What?
Models together: Orange mocha frappuccino!
*Cue Jitterbug song!*
Asparagus Festival!
Mr. Awesome and I went to the Stockton Asparagus Festival today. The weather was amazing, and the food was even better. We plan on going again next year, mostly for the $5 beers and deep fried asparagus, pictured below. We also picked up some fresh asparagus to enjoy. Probably steamed though, much less points that way. :)

Happy Earth Day!
In honor of Earth Day, I decided to make a pledge for a better tomorrow. From now on, I will get my coffee in a reusable mug. When Christmastime rolls around, I will definitely be purchasing a red cup. I just love when the red cups come out.
Are you doing anything for Earth Day?

I Like It
Be who you are and say what you feel,
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind.”

This is why we're fat, America
Really? This is just disgusting. You can order this while sitting on your butt in a drive thru. Oh, and the meal comes with fries. Really?
Accoriding to KFC.com, "The new KFC Double Down sandwich is real! This one-of-a-kind sandwich features two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken filets (Original Recipe® or Grilled), two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese and Colonel's Sauce. This product is so meaty, there’s no room for a bun!"
