Snooki and Derek Zoolander...

Snooki and Derek Zoolander were my two costumes this year. I posted Snooki earlier, so here is Derek! It's a cross between his signature look and "Derelicte."

Taaaaaa Daaaaaa!

And here is Mr. Awesome. He won the costume contest!!!!

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

p.s. Here is a compilation of the best parts of Zoolander in case you haven't seen it. Which I just lost a little respect for you if you have never seen this movie.

Maybe There is More to Life?

Derek: Did you ever think that maybe there's more to life...than being really, really, ridiculously good-looking? Maybe we should be doing something more meaningful with our lives.Like helping people.

Models: Uh, Derek, what people?

Derek: I don't know. People who need help.

Models: Models help people. They make them feel good about themselves. They also show them how to dress cool...and wear their hair in interesting ways.

Derek: I guess so.

Models: You know what could really help you sort through these important issues?

Derek: What?

Models together: Orange mocha frappuccino!

*Cue Jitterbug song!*

Really, Really Ridiculously Good News

Can it be? Is it true? Ben Stiller is in talks of doing a Zoolander 2 movie. Pretty sure nothing can beat the original movie, but bringing back the Zoolander character is amazing.

For those of you who don't really know the basis of the movie, Derek Zoolander is a model, who also has an IQ of about 2. All of his "looks" are exactly the same, but he thinks they are different. "I like the calendar because it shows my versatility." The first time I saw the movie, I thought it was so stupid. The more I watched it, the more I realized how awesome it is. Ben Stiller definitely makes the movie with his funny and ditzy comments. Yes, this man is ditzy, if that's even possible. "The files are IN the computer?!"

Can't wait. Don't judge me.

I think I'm getting the black lung, Pop

If you see a horse faced makeup guru angrily dragging a man that has the most regular bowels on the planet by his feet, you're witnessing the result of a "Dr." making crazy claims against Bare Escentuals, one of the most popular makeup brands. Not to mention it's my favorite!!!

According to Dr. Oz, he's saying the minerals in the makeup could actually damage and scar lungs. Whaaaat? Now, note the part that says there are NO ACTUAL STUDIES to prove this, it's just a potential risk.

Mineral makeup is a big trend. Made from minerals such as mica, which are used for industrial purposes as well, these tiny particles are a thousand times smaller than predecessors from even 10 years ago. Their small size makes for a smoother, more flawless look, but it has one serious unintended consequence. The particles are so tiny they fall quickly through the air and can be inhaled easily into your lungs. When construction workers use mica in products such as spackle, they wear masks to protect their lungs from scarring over time. Though there are no studies showing damage from makeup use to date, experts say the long-term use and inhalation of minerals in makeup can lead to inflammation, irritation, and lung disease in women and girls.
So here's to not inhaling. I'm Team BE.

...and here's Zoolander, just for fun.

[after being in a coal mine for a dayDerek Zoolander: [high-pitched cough] ... I think I'm getting the Black Lung, Pop. It's not very well ventilated down there.
Larry Zoolander: For Christ's sake, Derek, you've been down there one day. Talk to me in thirty years
